Top 10 Newspapers in India by readership

Based on IRS 2019 Q4 data released by by Media Research Users Council India (MRUC India) in May 2020, lets have look at the newspaper readership of Top 10 Newspapers in India​

According to the Indian Readership Survey 2019 Q4, Dainik Jagran (Hindi) holds the top spot with a total readership (TR) of 6,866,700. Dainik Bhaskar (Hindi) follows closely in second place with a TR of 5,242,900, while Hindustan (Hindi) ranks third with 4,989,000 readers. Amar Ujala (Hindi) is fourth with a readership of 4,420,000.

In the Malayalam language category, Malayala Manorama has a TR of 1,776,300, making it one of the highest-read publications in the region. Daily Thanthi (Tamil) secures a readership of 2,631,400, and Lokmat (Marathi) follows with 2,234,300 readers. Rajasthan Patrika (Hindi) has a TR of 1,633,300, while The Times of India (English) enjoys a readership of 1,734,400. Lastly, Mathrubhumi (Malayalam) completes the list with a readership of 1,231,600.

These figures reflect the readership across various languages in India, as per the Indian Readership Survey 2019 Q4.
